ACT HEADQUARTERS, BIRMINGHAM

In our conversion of two Regency houses as the Headquarters for ACT we removed much 1950's detailing and replaced it with late 20th century and Regency detailing.

We put this glass and steel staircase through the centre of the building, both to give presence to the complex and also to bring light through the whole volume.

The ACT Boardroom was designed to allow for a variety of use - meetings, receptions, presentations - even parties.

Full height cherry doors were cut up to the height of the restored cornice, and the room was re-formed to be symmetrical.  Colours relate to the rest of the building, with the walls and curtains matched to the Chairman's office which balances this room at the other end of the building.
